Dr. Mike, a respected public figure known for his grassroots engagements and advocacy for development-driven governance, arrived at the convention to enthusiastic receptions from party faithful, youth groups, and political associates from across Rivers State. Observers described his participation as one of the convention’s standout moments, with many leaders and delegates commending his charisma, accessibility, and vision for inclusive leadership.
The convention attracted key political actors such as national leader of the party, Seriake Dickson, two presidential hopefuls, Peter Obi and Rabiu Kwakwaso, national chairman of the party, senator Cleopas Zuwoghe and other party leaders and stakeholders who gathered at the Los Angelis Event Center in Mabuchi area of Abuja for its national convention ahead 2027.
Speaking with journalists on the sidelines of the event, Dr Mike assured Rivers state delegates he won’t disappoint them when voted into office in 2027. The delegates described him as a “bridge-builder” capable of uniting diverse interests within the state.
