The Senator representing Edo North, Adams Oshiomhole felicitate with Muslim Ummah as 2026 Ramadan (Fasting) ends.
A statement by his Chief of Staff, Victor Oshioke and obtained by EMBASSY66 News, reads: “I rejoice with the Muslim Ummah as it has pleased Almighty Allah to see them through the Holy Month of Ramadan”
“The period of Ramadan (Fasting) is an opportunity to reconnect with our Creator and extend the hand of fellowship to our fellow men. However, as we celebrate the successful completion of this important tenets of Islam, we should not forget the lessons learnt, to wit: the spirit of piety, almsgiving, compassion, and love for fellow men”.
The statement further reads: “we remember, as always, our country at this season, and I enjoin the Ummah to continue to make supplications to Allah to heal the ills of the nation and favour us with peace and progress.”
The former Edo state Governor tasked the Muslims in Edo State to reflect on the abundance of God’s favor. “In Edo State, we have every cause to be thankful to Almighty Allah, as He has continued to bestow abundant mercies on us through mutual respect and coexistence among people of different faiths. Yet, we are not insensitive to the plight of those who have been victims of recent attacks in some parts of the country. We pray for Aljannah Firdaus for the souls of those who lost their lives and for the quick recovery of the injured”
“To the Muslim Ummah across our beloved country, I wish you a happy Eid-el-Fitr,” the statement concluded.
