The center of excellence, Lagos state stands still on Sunday upon the arrival of the people’s Senator, distinguished Comrade Adams Oshiomhole in Lagos during the weekend. Senator Oshiomhole was amongst the nominees for the THIS DAY’S “Senator of the year award”.
Oshiomhole was not the only nominees for this esteemed award. Senators Natasha Akpoti-Uduagha (Kogi Central), Ireti Kiginbe (FCT), Ali Ndume (Borno South) and Solomon Adeola (Ogun East) were amongst those also nominated.
The Edo born Senator emerged winner as the Minister for Information and Orientation presented him the award with excitement. “On behalf of THIS DAY and ARISE TV, I have this distinct honor and privilege to present this award to no other person than our own Comrade, Comrade Adams Oshiomhole. Congratulations Comrade”, the Minster remarked.
The Award ceremony is part of the activities marking the 30th anniversary of THIS DAY NEWSPAPER organized by the founders in collaboration with ARIS TV. This marks the 3rd times Senator Oshiomhole is winning this Award.
As usual, Oshiomhole’s humility caught everyone’s attention including dignitaries, and organizers of the event. The Award of recognition is a testament to his noceable contributions in the 10th National Assembly and people of his senatorial district in Edo north are very much proud of him.
