In a unanimous solidarity and validation of acceptability, paty leaders of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Okpella, Etsako East Local Government Area of Edo State, have thrown their weight behind Hon. Anamero Dekeri, endorsing him for a second term in the House of Representatives.
This development marks a significant turning point in the build up to party primaries in less than three weeks.
The motion endorsing Dekeri was moved by Mohammed Mohammed, a leader and financier of APC from Ward 8 (Iddo Okpella) and it was seconded by High Chief A.I Okhogbe, a leader from Ward six. No counter motion was heard.
“I want to move that Okpella has unanimously endorsed Sunday Anamero Dekeri for a second tenure”, Muhammed declared.
“I, Chief A.l Okhogbe, have hear from the mover of the motion, l hereby support that all of us should adopt it”. There wasn’t any counter motion.
High Chief Kashim Otaru and Haruna Afegbua (Bombay) flanked Anamero Dekeri in approval of the endorsement. The high point was an open question by Afegbua to the attendees asking if they were in alignment with the decision. The response was an “echoed yes”.
While reacting to the development, Anamero Dekeri expressed gratitude for the endorsement, describing it as both humbling and motivating. He reaffirmed his commitment to delivering more dividends of democracy if re-elected in 2027.
The development signals early political alignment within the APC in Okpella, as stakeholders move to consolidate support and maintain continuity in representation at the federal level.
